I have a pair of Sony MRR v700's and find them briliant. Tested them against a range of more expensive Sennheiser when I was looking and found them superior in every respect. Very neutral (mistaken for dullness by some), will not fatigue the listener after moderate use. The v700 are actually better than the more expensive SA v1000s.

Sennheiser used to wire up their cans with really tiny strands, all insulated, and L, R and ground not separated. If you broke them, they could not be repaired. The external cables used proprietary plugs as well and they invariably didn't fit their sockets, resulting in the sound cutting in and out.

These look like a copy of the Sony MDR7506 (marvellous cans) and if they're built like them, that's a vast improvement.

TBH, I find them really comfortable (and very quiet) and I'm used to Sennheiser's being really solidly built so I'd lean towards them than someone I'd not heard of before. What do you mean by unethical though?

Just think, you could have gotten a much better set of cans in a pair of Audio Technica AD700 or AD900's for the same price. But if comfort and sound quality don't really matter, and you're ok with unethical companies, go the sennheiser :)
